Service Bundling and Branding
In today's multi-service environments, the importance of providing
flexible, robust service bundle options to subscribers is difficult to
overstate. That's why MACC offers its clients an intuitive, powerful
system for creating, managing, activating and billing service
bundles for its clients. MACC also supports user-defined branding for
custom bill presentation of services.
Bundle Basics
Service Bundles are managed using the Customer Master database
maintenance system. Individual USOC codes are aggregated into a defined
bundle, which may include a discount for the combined services compared to
individual service pricing. Once created, the Service Bundle is ready to
be applied to accounts.
Service Bundling works in concert with your Customer Master Bundling
Options preferences and with Bill Master to present services on the
subscriber statement according to your company's established practice. For
example, you may wish to include only the Bundle and its price on the
bill, or you may wish to list individual services under the Service
Bundle.
Cross-Service Bundling
Because you want to offer service packages for a variety of voice, data
and video services in an easy to implement billing unit, MACC supports
cross-service bundling. Using Customer Master's Tier Assigned behavior for
Bundles, you may assemble a Service Bundle for containing telephone,
Internet, and Cable Television service, for example. Customer Master and
Bill Master ensure that the Service Bundle's included services are
assigned to the appropriate account tier for revenue and tracking
purposes. What's more, the tier assignments carry over to Journal Entries
for export to MACC's Accounting Master or your own accounting system,
providing error-free revenue management of bundled services.
Defining Your Brands
For more flexibility on the subscriber statement, MACC also supports
user-defined branding for individual USOCs and Service Bundles. The Brand
you identify for a service can easily be assigned to the USOC or Service
Bundle. The Brand name, along with contact information, will be printed as
a header above the services associated with the Brand on the subscriber
statement. |
