Data Security
With external and internal key card access points, controlled vendor
delivery, secure transmission systems, fully mirrored storage systems and
offsite storage of redundant client data, MACC ensures that the last thing
our clients worry about is the integrity of their mission-critical
information files.
MACC has invested heavily in its facility security system. All mainframe
tape/disk storage areas are secured with key-code only access devices. The
network server areas are secured and also require key-code access for
entry. The BBS, FTP and Web Browser systems have a high level of security
embedded in their systems including Firewalls, Virus Protection and
password site access.
Disaster Recovery
MACC’s tested Disaster Recovery Program will provide the company with
every opportunity to withstand a catastrophic event, be it accidental,
man-made or natural; and resume operations in an efficient and effective
manner. The Disaster Recovery Plan serves as a procedural guideline for
smooth and orderly recovery of data, and to facilitate a continuity of
operations within MACC.
MACC has implemented and maintains very specific procedures and
processes for the backup and off-site storage of vital records as part
of its Disaster Recovery Plan. MACC utilizes several Backup and Recovery
Processes in the course of normal operations. All incoming data is
copied and/or archived for backup and recovery purposes. All of MACC’s
data systems are backed up on a nightly (incremental) and weekly (full)
basis. This data is stored in an off-site vault. A formal Disaster
Recovery Plan is in place and is tested every other year. MACC has a
contractual agreement with SunGard Availability Services to use one of
their “hot” sites in the event a disaster is declared. The plan was last
successfully tested in July of 2005 and utilized SunGard’s recovery site
in Wood Dale, Illinois. |
