(BLAIR, NE - August 1, 2005) - Mid America Computer Corp. (MACC) is very pleased to announce and congratulate MACC president Rod Christenson, who was honored with the Associate Member Distinguished Service Award at the recent OPASTCO convention, held in July in Boston, Mass.

The Associate Member Distinguished Service Award is given to OPASTCO Associate Members who have performed outstanding service for the benefit of the telecommunications industry in conjunction with their OPASTCO membership.

Rod’s participation in OPASTCO has included being on the Associate Member Advisory Council, as well as being an active participant with the OPASTCO meetings and conventions.

MACC has been a Premier Sponsor of OPASTCO for the past several years, and as Rod stated in his acceptance speech, “This is a true honor but this award is really a reflection of the MACC organization and our people who provide the best customer support in the telecommunications industry. The award is the highest honor bestowed on an Associate Member by OPASTCO. It is presented to individual(s) currently or previously employed by an Associate Member Company in recognition of effective leadership and long-term involvement in OPASTCO, along with extraordinary accomplishments and contributions on behalf of small telecommunications companies on a local, state or national level.
