MID AMERICA COMPUTER CORP. TO PROVIDE ASP BILLING SOLUTION

(BLAIR, NE - September 1, 2004) - Mid America Computer Corp. (MACC) today announced it will implement and host an Application Service Provider-modeled (ASP) billing solution for several new customers later this year. The announcement coincides with the signing of several new clients in Pennsylvania who will utilize this service.

“Demand is clearly growing for ASP solutions, and our decision to provide it has created an opportunity for us to deliver the features and service capabilities our customers need,” said MACC president Rod Christenson.

As the Enterprise ASP host for MACC’s Customer Master suite, MACC will provide direct access—via the Internet and utilizing an interface to clients’ Terminal Server—to all necessary functionality to perform comprehensive customer care and billing services for subscribers, including:

o  Service Order entry
o  E-911
o  Plant records maintenance
o  MAPCOM interface
o  Directory maintenance and publishing
o  Trouble reporting
o  Equal Access monitoring and Carrier management
o  Security Deposit
o  Receivables
o  Credit History
o  Robust on-board reporting and optional Custom Reports

MACC will provide a fee-based ASP solution involving no up-front costs apart from standard training and conversion fees. According to Christenson, “We understand that not all business models accentuate ownership of software and server architecture. Using today’s Internet-based hosting solutions and with MACC’s advanced experience and expertise in networking technology, our clients need not be committed to a high initial investment in software and the hardware that runs it. The ASP solution defers startup IT costs over time in favor of a low-cost system implementation.”
