MACC’s Rod Christenson is Elected to
the ATIS' Board of Directors
(Tuesday, November 14, 2006) Blair, NE – Rod Christenson,
President of Mid America Computer Corporation (MACC) was recently
elected to the Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions’ (ATIS)
Board of Directors.
ATIS is a technical planning and standards development organization that
is committed to rapidly developing and promoting technical and
operations standards for the communications and related information
technologies industry worldwide using a pragmatic, flexible, and open
approach. Participants from more than 350 communications companies are
active in ATIS’ 23 industry committees.
Christenson will join a board with representatives from some of the
world’s largest telecommunication and technology-related companies.
“This is a tremendous honor for not only me, but also MACC and all of
its associates,” he said. “Due to this election, MACC and our customers
will be represented on the board of one of the industry’s most important
organizations.”
Because of its mission to create technological and operational standards
for the telecommunications industry, Christenson sees this position as
far more than just an honor.
“It’s also an opportunity,” Christenson said. “I’ll be joining
representatives from across the industry to help create a consensus on
the standards that will guide telecommunications into the future.”
