MID AMERICA COMPUTER CORP AND MAPCOM SYSTEMS INTEGRATE CUSTOMER
BILLING AND GIS SOLUTIONS FOR TELCO AND CABLE COMPANIES
(BLAIR, NE - December 1, 2004) - Mid America Computer
Corp. (MACC) and Mapcom Systems announced today an agreement designed to
bring together the benefits of MACC’s customer billing suite, Customer
Master, with Mapcom Systems’ GIS-based M4® Solutions. Today’s
announcement illustrates both companies’ commitment to an open-system
approach to customer and facilities management by ensuring that
information is easily accessible and available to integrate with a wide
array of standard applications outside of their own.
For their respective telecommunications customers,
the agreement means that users of MACC’s Customer Master and Mapcom’s
M4® Solutions Suite will be able to drill down into any cable, fiber,
network component or structure within their inside or outside plant, and
immediately see its correlation to customers and their records as
contained in MACC’s billing solution, Customer Master. By synchronizing
customer billing and plant records in this fashion, telecommunications
companies can provide geographic customer look-up capability, perform
instant new service qualifications, coordinate line assignments, trouble
and dispatch efforts, and quickly determine which customers are affected
by issues with any particular cables or network components, among a host
of additional functions.
