MACC is Selected by BitWise for its
CABS Processing Needs

(MACC), a leading billing solutions provider to the telecommunications
industry, has reached an agreement to provide
CABS
processing services to BitWise. This is the fourth
company in the last six weeks to choose MACC to meets its need for CABS
processing.
BitWise is a competitive local exchange carrier (CLEC) based in Peoria,
Illinois. The company was established in 1993 and prides itself on
offering great customer service through excellent technical support.
BitWise provides telephone service to five Illinois communities.
MACC offers services which are unique within the industry. One of these
products is called AccessMart. This innovative
service is a web-based access usage and revenue assurance tool that
allows MACC’s clients to easily track CABS trends via an online portal.
With AccessMart, manual CABS reports that used to take hours or days can
now be created in minutes.
Another product, offered only by MACC, is called Consolidated CABS
billing. MACC combines smaller billing amounts from our clients, and on
their behalf, submits one monthly invoice to the inter-exchange
carriers. MACC’s CABS team learned through experience that carriers
prefer to pay one large bill rather than many small, individual invoices
each month. The payment from the carrier is then properly divided among
the participating clients.
